More Info

The Skye Trail is a well-known but little trodden long distance trail that stretches the length of the ancient Isle of Skye. The 127km unmarked route takes in the island’s most dramatic landscape, from the Trotternish Ridge to the Cuillin mountain range. We hike the Skye Trail over seven days, with a rest day included for the chance to grab a shower and pub meal.

The Western Isles trip is a 10-day trip of hiking and island hopping between the little islands off the west coast of Scotland. Hiking mostly off-track, we will get a boat and hike across the islands of Muck, Eigg, Rum and Canna.

These routes have been devised for those who prefer to get well away from the beaten track. We guarantee a trip never to be forgotten!

The rewards along the way are many:
• Spectacular mountain views
• Coastal scenery
• Superb opportunities for watching wildlife such as otters, golden eagles and white-tailed sea eagles

City Mountaineering runs guided trips year round, taking you from London to the mountains. Our all-inclusive group trips from London are limited to just eight people and include travel, accommodation, breakfasts and lunches (so you'll only need money for those pub dinners!). Every trip is led by a qualified and experienced guide whose primary aim is keeping you safe. You don't need to have any prior experience of scrambling, wild camping or remote hiking and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

Keep checking back for new trips, or head to the diary page to see all our trips for the year.

If there's a particular mountain you'd love to climb, scrambling route you want to test yourself against, or trail you'd like to explore but you don't see it listed, feel free to get in touch and we'd be happy to arrange a bespoke trip.
