Scrambling in The Lake District - 14 June

Scrambling in The Lake District - 14 June

£345Price

14-16 June 2024

Spend two days and two nights in the beautiful English Lake District, scrambling the local crags and hiking to the summits of its less travelled peaks, getting views all across the National Park. We’ll be hiking off track, avoiding the crowds and seeing parts of the Lake District that the tourists rarely get to see.

Scrambling bridges the gap between hiking and climbing (essentially, it’s when you use your hands as well as your feet to climb a mountain) and is one of most enjoyable ways to ascend to a peak.

Like climbing, there are lot of different grades of scrambling. We will be choosing the easier grades so you don’t need to have any prior experience of scrambling before coming on this trip! The small group size will also enable us to give you our full attention, ensuring maximum safety and enjoyment.

As always, we’ll sort out the travel, transfers and accommodation so just meet in London and leave the rest to us.

  • Friday (from 6pm) - Meet at Euston to take a relaxing train journey north where you will be met at the train station and transported to your accommodation for the weekend

Saturday - A day scrambling (route/mountain to be decided, based on weather conditions)

Sunday - A day hiking and scrambling to the summit of another local mountain, before returning back to the train station for a return train journey to London (arriving around 10pm).
