Small groups, many solo hikers

Weekend hiking trips are what we do best. If you want to discover the UK’s most beautiful mountains, valleys and coastlines, there’s no better way than heading out for a weekend on the trails. Hiking is the foundation of every great mountain adventure—accessible, energising, and perfect for anyone who simply loves being outdoors. If you can walk, you can hike.

Our trips run every weekend of the year, designed so you can escape the city without using a single day of annual leave. Leave home on Friday evening, spend two full days exploring incredible landscapes, and be back home on Sunday night—refreshed, accomplished and ready for the week ahead.

Our guides know the UK’s hiking regions inside out—from Snowdonia and the Lake District to the Scottish Highlands and beyond. They’ll lead you to the hidden viewpoints, quiet trails and unforgettable summits that most walkers never get to experience.

All our weekend hiking trips are designed for busy people who still want big outdoor experiences. Leave home on Friday evening, enjoy two full days of hiking, and return Sunday night feeling refreshed and accomplished—without using any annual leave.

Want to hike a specific mountain? Planning a weekend getaway for friends or colleagues? We can arrange a bespoke private hiking weekend anywhere in the UK. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll design the perfect adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

All of our weekend adventures have an option to include a train journey from London followed by onward transport to the mountains, so the logistics are taken care of for you. The London starting point will typically be from Euston train station with an evening train to Snowdonia or The Lake District, or The Caledonian Sleeper train to The Scottish Highlands. Our weekend escapes are designed so you don’t have to take a single day off work to enjoy the UK mountains.

Absolutely. 94% of our participants join alone, making them a great way to meet other mountain-minded people.

You can book until the trip is full, although we recommend booking early because our small groups have limited spaces.

It varies by trip. Some are accessible day hikes, while others involve significant ascent, distance or challenging terrain. A typical mountain weekend for us may include one tougher day as we hike one of the bigger mountains, with one easier day to stretch the legs and focus on the local environment. Every trip has a difficulty description.

Both. You can join a single weekend or build regular mountain adventures into your calendar throughout the year. If you join a trip that you have already done before, we will make every effort to change the routes to ensure it feels like a completely different trip to you. We have lots of people join us on a regular basis, with the current record being one person joining us for over 70 trips!

Our core programme focuses on weekends and not requiring a day off work, but we also offer multi-day and bespoke trips that may run during the week.
