A weekend hiking in The Scottish Highlands – A perfect break from the busy city! You will be guided to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in The UK!

Ben Nevis and the Rushing Waters is the ultimate two-day guidedĀ hiking experience for solo travellers seeking an epic Scottish Highlands adventure. Led by expert mountain guides, this small-group trek pairs a fully supported mountain summit with a scenic valley walk. It offers the perfect balance of rugged alpine terrain, professional trail safety, and tranquil river wilderness.
Day one tests your grit with a solo climb up the iconic Ben Nevis mountain trail. Rising 1,345 metres, Britain’s highest peak rewards hikers with breathtaking panoramic views across the Lochaber region. The well-marked paths offer an empowering milestone for any independent explorer.
Day two shifts focus to the dramatic Glen Nevis river walk and spectacular gorge paths. You will hike through beautiful woodlands and alongside cascading rapids. This lower-level trek provides an unforgettable finale to your solo Highland escape.

You don’t need to have any prior experience (although reasonable fitness is expected, as it is a mountain after all) and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend. Ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

Such a wonderful maiden voyage to the Scottish Highlands and summiting Ben Nevis with City Mountaineering. Top notch travel arranged on the Caledonian Sleeper and a rustic stay at the Ben Nevis Inn. Stuart and Katie are expert guides and you’re in safe and highly knowledgeable hands. I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable Scottish experience – haggis and all!

I had a great experience with this group in Ben Nevis. The organisation of the trip was spot on. The hosts were welcoming and we all spent a good time with them. I will definitely do other trips with them.

The trip with Stuart is absolutely amazing. He is so organised and always makes sure everybody is safe on the trip. I was struggling a lot during the ascend, but Stuart was very encouraging all the way long. He always stayed at the back to make sure nobody is left out. Will definitely book another trip with him again šŸ™‚
