A weekend of easy hiking in The Lake District National Park. Perfect for anyone wanting a relaxing weekend spent in good company exploring the forests, valleys and peaks of this unique and beautiful landscape.

As with all City Mountaineering trips, we’ll get you off the busy tourist trails and head instead to the quieter parts of the National Park, drawing on our local knowledge and years of experience to provide a truly unique adventure you’ll never forget.

Relaxation is the name of the game on this weekend and, whilst we’ll still be hiking up to summits, the aim of this trip is to enjoy, not endure! And, of course, we’ll make sure there’s a pub at the end of the hike too!

This is an ideal weekend for a beginner hiker who wants their first taste of the hills or for the seasoned mountaineer just wanting to enjoy being in the moment in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

As always, we’ll sort out the logistics, accommodation and guided hike so just need to join your guide at the meeting point and leave the rest to us.

It was a great trip with Stuart, Benny, Stuart’s little dog, who is only 15 months old and has already climbed 54 mountains.

Another fun and professionally organised trip with lovely accommodation. Thank you Stuart for a great weekend. Really appreciated the off-the-beaten-track routes.

  3. Louise

Spent a couple of days with Stu in the Lakes earlier this year and it was definitely worth it! Stu’s a chilled-out, great leader who knows his stuff and we had a couple of days of great hiking. No hesitation to recommend these trips to others – everything’s really well organised – all you have to do is turn up and join in with the fun. Will definitely book more once the Covid nonsense is out of the way. 🙂
