Climb Helvellyn, via Striding Edge - 11 May

2-days and 1-night in The Lake District National Park with a small group to hike along the notorious and wonderful Striding Edge - the classic ridgeline to the summit of Helvellyn.
The main event may be ascending Helvellyn but, as with all City Mountaineering trips, one the other day we’ll get you off the busy tourist trails and head instead to the quieter parts of the National Park, drawing on our local knowledge and years of experience to provide a truly unique adventure you’ll never forget.
You don't need to have any prior experience of scrambling or remote hiking and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.
As always, we’ll sort out the travel, accommodation and most of the food (the pubs can do the rest!) so just meet in London and leave the rest to us.
Saturday (from 6am) - Meet at Euston and take a relaxing journey north where you will be met at the train station and transported to Patterdale to begin your day of hiking and scrambling the famous Striding Edge ridge to the summit of Helvellyn
Sunday - A day hiking (route/mountain to be decided, based on weather conditions) before returning back to the train station for a return to London (arriving London around 9pm)
