About the event
Spend the weekend on the west coast of Scotland to explore the local mountains including an ascent of Ben Nevis - The highest peak in The UK!​
This trip is suitable for anyone with a good level of fitness, regardless of hiking experience. However, we will be hiking to the summit of the highest mountain in Britain, starting a sea level, so a reasonable level of fitness is expected.
ITINERARY
Friday (Optional London departure) - Meet at Euston train station at 8:30pm and board the Caledonian Sleeper train for a relaxing overnight train to Fort William (twin share bedrooms)
Saturday - Meet outside Fort William train station at 10am for a trip briefing before journeying in the local area for views across the bay and over to Ben Nevis.
Sunday - An early start, to make the most of the day, we will make our way to the summit of Ben Nevis.  The specific route we take will depend on experience, ability and weather conditions.
Sunday evening (Optional sleeper train to London) - Board the Caledonian Sleeper train at 7pm in Fort William for your journey home to London (twin share, en-suite bedrooms, so you can have a shower before arriving in London). Â Train arrives London Euston at 8am, so no need to take a single day off work!

Note: Â The weather and ground conditions will not be known until closer to the date and full winter conditions, whilst expected at this time of year, cannot be guaranteed. Â The trip will go ahead regardless of conditions (The only exception being if the prevailing weather is too dangerous e.g. Thunderstorms)
