  • Depart UK

Kathmandu Arrival and Cultural Immersion

  • Arrive in the vibrant heart of Kathmandu, where you’ll be greeted with a warm Nepali welcome and have the chance to immerse yourself in the rich local culture.

  • Team briefing, kit check, shopping and explore Kathmandu

  • Fly to Lukla (2,860m) and trek 8km to Phakding (2,610m)
  • Scenic Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
  • Take a thrilling mountain flight to Lukla and begin your trek to Phakding, passing through picturesque Sherpa villages and enjoying stunning views of the Khumbu region.

Trek 10km to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

  • Ascend through pine forests and cross the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge on your way to Namche Bazaar, the bustling gateway to the Everest region.

Acclimatisation Day

  • Spend a day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar, exploring the local market, visiting the Sherpa Museum, and enjoying panoramic views of Everest and neighbouring peaks.

Trek 10km from Namche Bazaar (3,440m) to Tengboche (3,970m)

  • Journey to Tengboche, home to an ancient monastery with breath-taking vistas of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other surrounding peaks.

Trek 11km to Dingboche (4,410m)

  • Traverse through lush rhododendron forests and alpine landscapes as you make your way to Dingboche, a picturesque village nestled in the mountains.

Acclimatisation Day

  • Another acclimatization day in Dingboche, offering the opportunity for a hike to Nagarjun Hill for panoramic views or a visit to a local bakery.

Trek 11km from Dingboche (4,410m) to Lobuche (4,940m)

  • As you approach Lobuche, you’ll notice the landscape becoming more rugged and sparse, with incredible views of the surrounding peaks.

Trek 4km from Lobuche (4,940m) to Gorak Shep (5,165m) then continue another 4km to Everest Base Camp (5,300m) and 4km back to Gorak Shep

  • The highlight of your journey: reach the legendary Everest Base Camp, then return to Gorak Shep for a well-earned rest.

Climb Kalar Pathar (5,550m) then trek 10km to Dingboche (4,410m)

  • Begin early to hike up to Kala Patthar for a stunning sunrise view of Everest, then descend to Dingboche for the night.

Trek 11km from Dingboche (4,410m) to Island Peak Base Camp (4,970m)

  • Embark on the Island Peak leg of your adventure, making your way to the base camp and preparing for the climb ahead.

Rest/Skills Day

  • A day spent resting and learning the essential rope skills required for the following day

Climb to Island Peak summit (6,189m) and return to Island Peak Base Camp (4,970m)

  • The big day arrives! Ascend the challenging slopes of Island Peak and relish in the unparalleled sense of achievement as you stand atop its majestic summit.

Contingency Day for weather delays

  • An extra day built into the itinerary for any unexpected weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. If this additional day is not required you will descend to Dingboche and savour the familiar sights of the trail you’ve come to know and love.

Trek to 15-25km to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

  • Head back to Namche Bazaar, taking in the awe-inspiring Himalayan vistas along the way.

Trek 18km to Lukla (2,890m)

  • Your final day of trekking takes you back to Lukla, where you can celebrate your accomplishments with your fellow trekkers.

Fly Lukla to Kathmandu

  • Enjoy a scenic flight back to Kathmandu and relive the memories of your incredible Himalayan adventure.

Depart Kathmandu

  • Bid farewell to Nepal with a heart full of unforgettable experiences and a deep connection to the stunning landscapes you’ve explored.
