A weekend hiking in Snowdonia National Park – Ideal for anyone that wants a relaxing weekend with good company and beautiful scenery…

We will take one of the most scenic and less travelled routes to the summit of Snowdon, away from the hoards on the tourist tracks, followed by an ascent of Cnicht (The Welsh Matterhorn!)

“Enjoy, not Endure!”

The purpose of this trip is to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience in the mountains. It’s not about testing your strength and endurance.

This trip has been arranged for people with no/little experience of the mountains, however it is open for anyone of any ability that just wants to enjoy the mountains (remember, mountain hiking does involve walking up and down hill so a basic level of fitness is expected)

As always, we’ll sort out the road transfers, accommodation and guided hiking so just join us at the meeting point and leave the rest to us.

We will end the day comparing photos and stories in a local pub.

You don’t need to have any prior experience and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

The best group for weekend adventures in the mountains – small, well organised and friendly trips. Also days/evenings out rock climbing – Stuart and his team know the best locations, handles all the transport and logistics while remaining relaxed, helpful and encouraging.

Went on the Snowdonia weekend trip with City Mountaineering and had an excellent weekend! Started with a hike and scramble up Snowdon via a path less used by other groups, and only saw 2 other hikers until we reached the summit! Spent Sunday walking up Cnicht, or the Welsh Matterhorn. The scenery was beautiful and the route we went on was fun with some small challenges, I.e. scrambling towards the top of the summit. Hardly saw anyone all day and was surprised how there weren’t more ppl exploring this part of Snowdonia NP! The packed lunches, Saturday night pub meal and breakfast and Sunday afternoon cake stop were were all great – I struggled to finish all my food! Would definitely recommend City Mountaineering for weekend hiking trips from London – everything is organised from beginning to end for you, all you have to do is hike and have fun!
