Hike the lesser trodden region of Snowdonia, reaching the summit of the eerie, rocky summits of Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach.

A weekend of hiking in Snowdonia National Park – Ideal for anyone that wants a weekend with good company and beautiful scenery…

On the first day you will hike the peaks that give their name to the Glyderau Range, reaching the summits of Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach (are you brave enough to stand on the Cantilever Stone?)

You will end the day comparing photos and stories in a local pub.

Day-2 will involve a fairly steep ascent that is rewarded with some of the best views in The UK as you reach the summit of Y Garn.  After taking in the views, you will descend through the mysteriously named Devil’s Kitchen and back to the minibus for your return home.

This trip has been arranged for people with some mountain experience and good fitness is required for 2 days of steep mountain ascents.

We will sort out the train travel, road transfers, accommodation and food – You just need to turn up at the meeting point and enjoy 🙂

The small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

Itinerary

  • Meet at the train station and take a leisurely journey to North Wales. You will be met by your guide and driven the short distance to the hostel accommodation in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.

  • After a day/trip briefing you will head out to the hills.
  • We will hike up to the Carneddau plateau and along to Carnedd Llewelyn, the second highest peak in England & Wales.
  • You will return to the accommodation via a different route than you took on the way up for showers and a change of clothes before heading to a local pub for dinner.

  • After checking out of the accommodation, you will take an easy hike off the beaten track, through beautiful valleys and to viewpoints on the summit of Crimpiau.
  • You will then return to the minibus for the drive back to the train station for your rail connections back home (expect to arrive in to London at around 9pm).
