- Meet your guide at Bridge of Orchy around 7:30am and drive through the stunning Glencoe Valley to the trailhead at Altnafeadh (approx. 30 mins).
- Begin the ascent of Buachaille Etive Mòr (1,021m), one of Scotland’s most famous mountains, instantly recognizable by its dramatic pyramid shape (often referred to as “Glencoe Mountain”). The hike takes us up the steep but rewarding Coire na Tulaich route, leading to the summit of Stob Dearg, where jaw-dropping views of Rannoch Moor and Glencoe await with steep scrambles, rewarding ridgelines, and breathtaking summit panoramas.
- After reaching the summit you will descend back to the minibus and be transported to your accommodation, a cosy Highland hostel in the heart of Glencoe before heading out for dinner at the legendary Clachaig Inn, a famous mountaineer’s pub known for its warm atmosphere, hearty food, and incredible whisky selection. Relax by the fire and swap stories of the day’s adventure.
- After breakfast, short drive takes us to the trailhead for the Pap of Glencoe (742m), a spectacular smaller peak offering some of the best views in Scotland.
- Begin the steep but short climb, reaching the summit for unparalleled views over Loch Leven, Glencoe, and the surrounding mountains – a perfect final adventure before heading home.
