Looking for something to do over New Year? Want to do something a little different away from the city?Then look no further! - Here is your solution!
Trekking in The Lake District!
We will stay in a remote mountain hostel hired exclusively for our group!
There are no roads to the hostel, so we will trek in with all our kit and spend 3 cosy nights in our remote oasis
------------------------------------------------------------------------The exact itinerary of hikes will not be known until closer to the date, but be rest assured that there will be plenty of hiking, Wainwright summiting and generally having fun :)
You will be met by your guide in The Lake District and whisked away to begin your trek in to the wilderness.
If the mountains are in full winter condition (lots of snow!) - No problem, everyone will be provided with ice axes and crampons (and taught how to use them) for free!

The exact itinerary and location of the trip will be determined closer to the time by weather and ground conditions (being flexible allows us to seek out the best weather). The following is an example itinerary:
• Meet outside Euston train station at around 10am on Sunday 29 December and take the relaxing train jounrey north to The Lake District. You will be met by your guide and driven to the trail head before hiking to your accommodation for the four nights in the wilderness!
• Monday 30 December - Head out, direct from the accommodation, on an easy circular route over a local Wainwright (Lake District hill) to stretch the legs and enjoy the crisp mountain air. It may be winter conditions, it may not... We have all the kit for all conditions :)
You will then return to the cosy accommodation for showers, dinner and drinks
• Tuesday 31 December - Again, walking directly from the remote accomodation, this will be a slightly bigger day today as you tackle one of the higher peaks in the area before returning to the accomodation to ready yourself for the fesivities of seeing in the New Year!
• Wednesday 01 January - After breakfast (and maybe clearing our heads with a dip in the local river?) you will head out on your final circular hike to enjoy your final full day in the wilderness
• Thursday 02 January - After breakfast in the accommodation you will pack your basg for the short hike back out to civilisation.
You will be driven to the trian station where you will. board the train home. Refreshed and rejuvenated for the year ahead.
