Two days and two nights in the stunning Lake District National Park.
You’ll hike the less-travelled parts of the Lake District as part of a small group, summitting mountains and enjoying views across the National Park.
This trip will involve scrambling: the use of your feet and hands to make your way up steep terrain; a cross between hiking and climbing, and by far the most enjoyable way to scale a mountain! You don’t have to have any prior experience of scrambling and you’ll be guided by a highly experienced and qualified Mountain Leader who will keep you safe and sound.
As with all City Mountaineering trips, our aim is to get you off the beaten path and away from the tourist crowds to show you parts of the mountains that most don’t get to see. This trip is no different and you’ll benefit from your guide’s years of experience exploring the Lake District.
This is an all-inclusive trip so travel from London, accommodation and all food (including a BBQ on Wednesday evening) are included in the price.
Tuesday (from 6pm) - Meet at Euston and take a relaxing journey north where you will be met at the train station and transported to your accommodation for the weekend
Wednesday - A day scrambling (route/mountain to be decided, based on weather conditions)
Thursday - A day hiking and scrambling to the summit of another local mountain, before returning back to the train station for a return to London (for 10pm)
