A weekend hiking in The Scottish Highlands - A perfect break from the busy city! - You will be guided to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in The UK!
Spend the weekend on the west coast of Scotland to explore the local mountains including and ascent of Ben Nevis - The highest peak in The UK!
This trip is suitable for anyone with a good level of fitness, regardless of hiking experience.
"Enjoy, not Endure!"
The purpose of this trip is to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience in the mountains. It's not about testing your strength and endurance. However a reasonable level of fitness is expected to hike the highest mountain in The UK.
We will sort out the travel, transfers and accommodation - You just need to turn up at the meeting point and enjoy :)
We will end the day comparing photos and stories in a local pub.
You don't need to have any prior experience (although reasonable fitness is expected as it is a mountain afterall) and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.
The specific itinerary is subject to change based on local weather conditions. We will always pick the best weather day for the Ben Nevis ascent.
Friday (from 9pm) - Meet outside London Euston train station and board the Caledonian Sleeper train for an overnight journey to Fort William (bed in a single-sex, twin room with one of your fellow adventurers)
Saturday - Meet you guide in Fort William at 10am for a trip briefing before heading out on a hike in the local area. Where you hike will depend on the weather. It could be a local mountain, or it could be exploring the Glen Nevis valley or surrounding areas.
Sunday - An early start, to make the most of the day, you will make our way to the summit of Ben Nevis. The specific route we take will depend on experience, ability and weather conditions.
At the end of the day you will be transported to Fort William for your departure home on The Caledonian Sleeper train (expect to arive at London Euston around 8am on Monday)
