A midweek advenure away from the city to the beautiful Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
We will spend the weekend in cosy accommodation close to Loch Lomond itself and explore the local mountains in their cosy (or cold) winter jackets...
This trip will include an ascent of local munros (mountains) - the specific mountains and route will depend on the conditions at the time
This trip is suitable for anyone, regardless of winter hiking experience - If required, a full day of winter skills tuition will be provided as we journey through the winter wonderland!
Sunday (from 6pm) - Meet at Euston train station and make our way to Scotland in the comfort of the train before being transferred to your accommodation for the night
Monday - Arising early, we will depart for the mountains on Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
We will head out in the snow for an introduction to the winter environment, an introduction/revision of ice axe/cramponing skills and the style of mountaineering required for a winter ascent - this will usually take place en route to the mountain summit)
Tuesday-Friday - each day with an early start, to make the most of the day, we will make our way to the summit of a local munro (mountain), before returning to the comfort of our cosy accommodation for showers and dinner
Friday - At the end of the day you will be transferred to Glasgow train station for a relaxing journey back to London
