11-13 September 2020
A weekend of easy hiking in The Lake District National Park. Perfect for anyone wanting a relaxing weekend spent in good company exploring the forests, valleys and peaks of this unique and beautiful landscape.
As with all City Mountaineering trips, we’ll get you off the busy tourist trails and head instead to the quieter parts of the National Park, drawing on our local knowledge and years of experience to provide a truly unique adventure you’ll never forget.
Relaxation is the name of the game on this weekend and, whilst we’ll still be hiking up to summits, the aim of this trip is to enjoy, not endure! And, of course, we’ll make sure there’s a pub at the end of the hike too!
This is an ideal weekend for a beginner hiker who wants their first taste of the hills or for the seasoned mountaineer just wanting to enjoy being in the moment in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
As always, we’ll sort out the travel, accommodation and most of the food (the pubs can do the rest!) so just meet in London and leave the rest to us.
From London to the Lake District and back in a weekend!
Friday (from 6pm) - Board the train in London and enjoy the relaxing journey to The Lake District National Park, where you will be met at the train station and transferred to your accommodation.
Saturday - A day of hiking the lesser-trodden areas of the Western Fells followed by dinner in a traditional local pub in the evening
Sunday - A second day of hiking, before being transfertred to the train station for a return back to London (for 9pm)
