SNOWDONIA

Whatever your ability or your ambition, we have the perfect trip for you

Snowdonia National Park in Wales is home to some of the best UK mountains. Why not join us on a trip away from the crowds?

Here you can find all our wild camping, hiking and scrambling trips in Snowdonia. We regularly guide small groups to the lesser known peaks, and of course we climb Mount Snowdon, the highest point in England and Wales. Our speciality is taking the route less travelled, so you can be sure of a unique adventure. Other summits to climb include Cnicht and Tryfan, whilst the wild camping trips could take you anywhere in the Snowdonia range, depending on weather and conditions.

More Info

Scrambling bridges the gap between hiking and climbing; when terrain is too steep to walk on but not steep enough to require the use of ropes and climbing gear. It is one of most enjoyable ways to scale a mountain and there's no doubt you'll come away feeling like a true mountaineer! Tryfan features in most of our Snowdonia scrambling trips and is one of the best scrambles in Snowdonia.

Wild camping weekends will involve journeying through the lesser hiked, but no less spectacular areas of Snowdonia, sleeping under the stars in a remote mountain location (maybe on a mountain summit, maybe next to a beautiful lake - The locations are limitless when wild camping!).

More info

City Mountaineering runs guided trips year round, taking you from London to the mountains. Our all-inclusive group trips from London are limited to just eight people and include travel, accommodation, breakfasts and lunches (so you'll only need money for those pub dinners!). Every trip is led by a qualified and experienced guide whose primary aim is keeping you safe. You don't need to have any prior experience of scrambling, wild camping or remote hiking and the small group size will enable us to give you our full attention throughout the weekend, ensuring your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority.

Keep checking back for new trips, or head to the diary page to see all our trips for the year.

If there's a particular mountain you'd love to climb, scrambling route you want to test yourself against, or trail you'd like to explore but you don't see it listed, feel free to get in touch and we'd be happy to arrange a bespoke trip.
