01-03 May 2020
A weekend of relaxed hiking in Snowdonia National Park. Ideal for anyone that wants a relaxing weekend with good company and beautiful scenery.
Return travel from London; two nights’ accommodation; breakfast and lunches and two days of hiking led by a qualified Mountain Leader are all included in the cost of this trip so all you don’t need to worry about a thing!
On the first day we will take an easy hike to the summit of Snowdon, on a route that’s well away from the hoards on the tourist tracks, ending the day comparing photos in the warmth of a traditional pub.
The next day we’ll ascend to the summit of Cnicht; a mountain known as the Welsh Matterhorn for its profile that resembles its Swiss namesake!
‘Enjoy, not Endure!’
The purpose of this trip is to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience in the mountains. It won’t be about testing your strength and endurance. This trip has been specifically designed for people with little to no experience of hiking and is the perfect introduction to the mountains. That said, it is a trip that even the most experienced of mountaineers will enjoy!
Friday (from 6pm) - Meet at the pre-arranged London train station and be driven to the hostel accommodation in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
Saturday - After a day/trip briefing we will head out to the hills. We will ascend Snowdon on a spectacular route away from the crowds and perhaps go for a wild swim in a local lake/waterfall (weather depending, of course :)
Sunday - After checking out of the hostel, we will take an easy hike off the beaten track, through beautiful valleys and to viewpoints on the summit of Cnicht. We will then return to the minibus for the drive back to London (expect to arrive in to London at around 10pm)
