Hike Snowdon - 20 Sept
20-22 September 2024 (Weekend hiking trip)
2-days of relaxed, guided hiking in the Snowdonia National Park. Ideal for anyone that wants a relaxing weekend outdoors with good company and beautiful scenery.
On the first day we will hike at a relaxing pace to the summit of Snowdon, on a route that’s well away from the hoards on the tourist tracks, ending the day comparing photos in the warmth of a traditional pub.
The next day we’ll ascend to the summit of Cnicht; a mountain known as the Welsh Matterhorn for its profile that resembles its Swiss namesake!
As always, we’ll sort out the travel, transfers and accommodation so just meet in London and leave the rest to us.
‘Enjoy, not Endure!’
The purpose of this trip is to provide an enjoyable and relaxing experience in the mountains. It won’t be about testing your strength and endurance. This trip has been specifically designed for people with little to no experience of hiking and is the perfect introduction to the mountains. That said, it is a trip that even the most experienced of mountaineers will enjoy!
- Friday (from 6pm) - Meet in London and board the train for a relaxing journey to North Wales. You will be met by your host/guide and driven to your accommodation in the Snowdonia National Park
- Saturday - Hike to the summit of Snowdon, away from the crowded tourist tracks
- Sunday - A circular hike, taking in the summit of Cnicht, with views of Snowdon and the Welsh coastline, before returning back to the train station for your journey back to London (for 10pm)
